What Does Design Mean to Me?
Since I was very young, I drew relentlessly—fleeting ideas, everyday objects, even futuristic cities imagined in my preadolescence. I discovered early on the power of drawing: a way to communicate, express ideas, build worlds.
Soon, the famous building bricks allowed me to go further: to give real shape to my ideas. Long before Lego Technic arrived, I was already creating machines and vehicles from classic bricks. As a teenager, I was fortunate to study at a technical secondary school. There, I learned to turn an idea into a concrete object, built with my own hands using machines. A revelation.
Born in Oudenaarde, Belgium, to a Flemish mother born in France and a Walloon father. Growing up in a bilingual family was, in childhood, a challenge… but also an immense richness. This early exposure to languages opened many doors for me. Languages became a passion, a tool, a key to crossing borders and imagining projects I would never have thought possible.
A Career Guided by Curiosity & Versatility
My career began during my military service, when I had the opportunity to work for Snauwaert & Depla, a major Belgian tennis racket company. I designed bags and accessories there, including for player Michael Pernfors. This was the starting point of a freelance design career, blending fine arts and technical design from the late 1980s onward.
In the years that followed, I moved into packaging and POS displays. I created packaging and displays for brands such as Nintendo, Honda, Schiesser, and Leifheit. This was the start of a new freelance phase with clients in France, the United States, the Netherlands, Italy, and Belgium. I was even awarded a ProCarton prize, finishing third behind Duracell.
Gradually, my technical foundations resurfaced. I designed metal displays for Honda, glass bottles for a mineral water company, plastic bottles for ID Phar, wooden stands for Sibel International, and many other projects including for Nirvana Chocolates in the United States—where I designed innovative eco-packaging with cardboard blisters instead of plastic long before eco-design became standard.
About Us
I design by humans, for humans. A well-thought-out product must integrate all human dimensions: understanding, use, ergonomics, maintenance, recyclability. Every actor in the product’s life cycle matters: from the worker to the user, the distributor to the recycler.
Aesthetics and technique must fit human limits and capabilities. Designing for children, the elderly, or professionals requires a deep understanding of their realities.
“Dreams are also a crucial driving force. They push us to go beyond our limits, to seek, to invent, to evolve our know-how. Dreams are human and forward-looking, helping us overcome temporary constraints. They are challenges that turn dreams into everyday reality.”

Three Pillars Explained
And Today?
With the ability to visualize ideas, I continue refining my concepts, anticipating future needs. I am also active in the healthcare field, where human and technological challenges are immense. Out of passion, I engage in associations and organizations to represent designers in political and social spheres. Making our voices heard, supporting our clients, encouraging innovation—that’s what motivates me every day.
